An Invitation to Restore

Take a Moment…

Anchoring What Matters is a brief guided pause for moments that stay with you.
When conversations linger, decisions are replayed, or something feels unsettled, this practice helps you acknowledge what you may be carrying, steady yourself, and choose your next step with care.
There is a 10-minute version for when you have space and a 2-minute in-the-moment version you can use between responsibilities.
Originally created for nurses, it is meant for anyone whose work or responsibilities affect other people.
Take a moment — not to fix everything, but to orient yourself before continuing.
This practice is informed by the work of Dr. Cynda Rushton on moral resilience, Joan Halifax’s teachings on “strong back, soft front,” and trauma-informed mindfulness approaches that emphasize choice, presence, and compassionate awareness.
